Located in the North Island of New Zealand, Silverdale is approximately 30 minutes north of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, on the Hibiscus Coast.
Within our fire district there is highly populated residential areas, isolated non reticulated country retreats, long sandy beaches, coastline cliff areas, dense forest plantations and a main arterial highway, to name a few. Therefore as you can see the members of the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Brigade are not uncommon to attending a whole variety of call types in their emergency response.
